Steam DLL isn't worthy of our trust....

I have been trying to play on the server since yesterday. I logged in for the first time (only had the game a few days, so didn't have the addons that I needed) and was told by Karena to come here and get the addons. I downloaded everything that was posted on the contents page for required addons. When I try to join the server however it still makes me download 8 things. The real problem is the error when trying to connect to your server, and your server only.

I am really wanting to play on the server but I have no clue how to fix this, and since it only happens on your server I thought maybe somebody would know a fix. Thank you.

Are you using a legit copy of GMod? Meaning did you buy it?

Had the same problem, I had lega- *Cough* Fuck...Yeah, Legal Version of Gmod and it did it to me once or twice. I forgot my fix...

After damn near ripping my hair out I found a somewhat unlikely solution to this..Restart your computer. I shit you not that's what fixed it. There was some that said to delete my Steam.ddl and one other file, which I tried but didn't work. Finally I came across a post with a guy that said to just restart your computer. Amazingly, it worked!
